Payments look simple from the outside — money moves from A to B. In practice you’re managing partial failures, provider outages, currency conversion, regulatory reporting and a reconciliation process that has to balance to the cent. We build the systems that hold all of that together.
WHAT WE BUILD
Payment orchestration
A routing layer sitting above your providers. Route by country, currency, card scheme, payment method, ticket size or cost. Fail over automatically when a provider degrades. Add a new acquirer or local method without touching your checkout.
Checkout and payment capture
Hosted, embedded or fully headless. Optimised for conversion on retail flows and for control on B2B flows. Strong Customer Authentication handled properly, with exemptions applied where they’re allowed and step-up only where it earns its cost.
Ledger and reconciliation
A double-entry ledger as the system of record — not a table of transactions. Automated matching against provider and SEPA settlement files, exception queues for what doesn’t match, and exports your finance team can close the month with.
Payouts and disbursement
Single and mass payouts over SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Instant, scheduled or on-demand, with approval workflows, limits, Verification of Payee checks and a full audit trail.
Subscriptions and recurring billing
Plans, trials, proration, SEPA Direct Debit mandates, dunning and smart retry logic that recovers involuntary churn rather than accepting it.
Reporting and operations
Real-time dashboards, alerting on authorisation-rate drift, and back-office tooling that lets support resolve a customer issue without a developer.
STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE WE BUILD TO
PCI DSS–aligned architecture, with cardholder data scope minimised through tokenisation.
Strong Customer Authentication under PSD2, with 3-D Secure 2.x and exemption handling.
SEPA schemes — SCT, SCT Inst and SDD — on ISO 20022 messaging.
Open banking through PSD2 access-to-account APIs, including Berlin Group NextGenPSD2, and ready for PSD3 and the Payment Services Regulation.
GDPR-compliant data handling, with EU data residency and retention configurable per client.
Operational resilience practices aligned with DORA: incident logging, third-party risk records and resilience testing.
We are an engineering partner, not a licensed payment institution or e-money institution. Where a licence, scheme membership or regulated permission is required, we build to your licence or to your provider’s — and we’ll say so plainly at the start of a project.
